I loved the My Babysitter’s A Vampire reference in A.N.T Farm last night refering to Vanessa’s character.

Yeah…Looking at the script snippets on my dash…I’m actually glad that was cut.
They both come off like absolute assholes. Which I guess is logical, considering the guilt and remorse Mercedes felt. They were basically carrying on a legit relationship behind her boyfriend’s back, and there were zero fucks to be found between the pair of them. Sam and Mercedes were in love with each other, but they way they act in that scene, especially Mercedes…it almost borders on cold. Those two were never like that. She was supposed to be conflicted. She was never mean.
And I’m not really here for that “Shane has a temper” bit. Ol’ Dude hasn’t said more than 50 words and he has a temper? Sir.
At least it confirms my theory that there was something else going on besides the kiss in “Michael”. But other than that…
All of this, except for the fact that I needed Sam to say that taste test line, even if it was just teasing. Sorry, but I loved that. Could have kept the “red-hot chemistry” line too. But the shit about going to the Sugar Shack with with him while Shane was with his grandma and him having a temper…yeah alright. No thanks.
No, I actually liked the chapstick line. And the “red hot chemistry” bit. And the whole “be mine” thing. That’s pure canon Sam Evans. But Mercedes is so OOC, it’s actually quite strange, considering Sam was the one doing the pursuing. They were both guilty, and that’s why I liked what aired, because neither one of them came out clean.
Mercedes is what bothered me about the scene. So OOC, and the great thing about them cutting it was they avoided fucking her character up like they’ve done to so many others on the show. But I was so here for Sam in the majority of that dialogue.
The fact that they tried to make it seem like Mercedes was ok with cheating?
That’s why that scene was cut. I bet, for once RIB+ were like:
Sounds more like a cheating Quinn line IMO.
“All I want is for you to be mine, really mine. What else do you need? Look at what we have in common. Not just the red hot chemistry, but Glee…The God Squad. Does Shane share any of that with you?”
Damn you, Sam.
^^^^^^^^ That was the only part of the cut scene that I really enjoyed. That and the “taste test” line, which was wrong but amusing.
same.
